Project Cebu 2024 is a one-week dental mission trip scheduled for August 2024, organised in collaboration with Rise Above Foundation Cebu, an established NGO dedicated to community development in the Philippines. This mission is spearheaded by HealthEx International, a student-run NGO from Singapore known for its impactful medical missions across Southeast Asia.

The primary objective of Project Cebu 2024 is to deliver essential dental care to Lahug, an underserved rural community in Cebu, where access to basic dental services is severely limited.

Our mobile clinics will offer treatments including scaling and polishing, extractions, and fillings to both adults and children. Additionally, we will be providing dental education in the form of oral hygiene instructions as well as providing free toothbrushes and toothpastes. We aim to educate patients on effective oral care practices, thereby promoting long-term dental health.

This year, our team comprises of 4 experienced dentists and 8 dedicated dental students, all committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of our beneficiaries. Each member brings a deep passion for community service, ensuring that the highest standard of care is delivered throughout the mission.

We are seeking financial support to ensure the smooth operation of our local and Philippines-based teams. These funds are crucial for the logistical and operational aspects of the mission, including transportation of materials, administration fees to Rise Above Foundation, and most importantly, the procurement of dental supplies. Your generous donations will directly contribute to our ability to provide free, high-quality dental treatment to those who need it most.

By donating just SGD 7.30 (or EUR 5.00), you can cover the cost of treating one patient. This small amount can make a big difference, helping to bridge the gap in dental health disparities and empower communities through improved health education and access to care. Update: Successful Completion of Our Dental Mission Trip!

We are excited to announce that our dental mission trip to Cebu has been a great success! Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide much-needed dental care to the local community, purchase essential equipment and materials, and ensure that every aspect of our mission ran smoothly.

During our trip, we were able to treat a total of 435 patients. Our team performed fillings on 248 teeth, extracted 292 teeth, and cleaned and scaled 182 teeth. The villagers in Lahug, in particular, were very blessed by your kindness, and we saw firsthand the positive impact of your support in their smiles and gratitude.

Your contributions truly made a difference. Every donation went directly towards treating patients and acquiring the tools necessary for our work. This trip would not have been as impactful without your generosity and belief in our cause.
